So you need to make 65K in Toronto and won't have any savings after taxes.
The Montreal figure is bogus. Family with triplex apartments are lucky to get $1000 a month for 1 or 2 bedroom units in less desirable neighbourhoods. I have friends in duplexes paying under $1000 a month in rent. There must be a lot of outliers jacking up average prices?
