A 16mm film from July 1958 shows a gymkhana at Houston's Palms Center.

He, along with all the other drivers in this film, are taking part in a gymkhana organized by the Mustang Sports Car Club. The event was on the last day of a three-day, sports car show at the shopping center. A gymkhana is a form of motorsports where drivers must navigate a course within a certain amount of time. The course can include obstacles that require the driver to deftly maneuver their car. Essentially the driver and the car are put to the test.

The 16mm film was one of a few I have come across in recent years at estate sales around Houston. The film was digitized earlier this year by the
