Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent his “best wishes” for the New Year to the country’s military. In a New Year’s video message broadcast on Russian television, Mr Putin said his country would “never give in” to the West.

I suspect the beleaguered and dispirited Russian Military reciprocate their “wishes” to Putin, but wish him no good at all, with hopes he faces a New Year where he’s removed from power and can longer use them as expendable pawns in a hateful war they want no part of.
