The film, based on Don DeLillo’s 1985 novel, played the Venice and New York Film Festivals this year, in hopes of being an Oscar contender. Instead, the movie starring Adam Driver and Greta Gerwig got mixed reviews and has barely made a ripple on the awards circuit — though it has yet to start streaming. At the Golden Globes, Driver is nominated for best actor – motion picture comedy or musical , and at the Critics Choice, “White Noise” only has a nod for best song.

I have to admit after Mr. Jealousy I've never really warmed to anything that Mr. Baumbach has made, respecting him while finding that I suspect we wouldn't be friends in life. I did find this one impressive in its scope and ambition. While hating it. Tried to watch. It’s a commitment that I couldn’t see through and quite honestly I don’t feel like I’m missing anything. This is only a curse. It is honestly one of the worst films I have ever watched! I feel dumber after watching it! Complete train wreck
