Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum David Boreanaz shares a sweetly funny story about meeting co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar for the first time. Although it showed flashes of the transcendent show that it would gradually become, the first season of Buffy had a few noticeable growing pains. One thing that helped the series right from the jump, however, was the chemistry between Gellar and Boreanaz.
I went in, got my manager in a week. I was with my first agency at the time and they’re like, ‘oh yeah, we’ve signed you for seven out of the 13 episodes’. Right? I was like, ‘oh great, that’s huge.’ I didn’t think much about it, But I remember reading the breakdown. It was like–this vampire with a soul. He was 240-something years old and he’s kinda like the Joe Louis of fighters.
' And then she beat my ass!.' LOL!
The buffy franchise was a movie with KristySwansonXO before it was a tv spin-off with SarahMGellar. It inspired and influenced future generations of films and television shows. I credit Joss Whedon as one of the many celebrities who’ve made my dream as a screenwriter possible.
