PercyJackson star Charlie Bushnell, who plays Luke Castellan on the show, wraps filming on season 1 and teases a return in potential future seasons.

Charlie Bushnell, who is set to play Luke Castellan in the upcoming Percy Jackson and the Olympians television adaptation, has finished shooting his season 1 scenes - and is already teasing a possible season 2 return. Based on the book series of the same name by Rick Riordan, Percy Jackson was initially adapted into a feature film in 2010. In 2013, a sequel film entitled Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters was released.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY In a post to Instagram, Bushnell revealed that he has officially wrapped all of his scenes for Percy Jackson season 1. Though the series has not yet been renewed for season 2, Bushnell teases Luke's return in another possible season, saying that he "can't wait to be back for more..." Bushnell also praises the cast and crew of Percy Jackson, saying that working on the series has been "a dream come true.

Like the ill-fated film adaptations, Disney+'s television series has revealed a star-studded cast, with recent additions including Timothy Omundsen as Hephaestus, Lin-Manuel Miranda as Hermes, and Jason Mantzoukas as Dionysus. However, the long-awaited castings for major gods Zeus and Poseidon still have yet to be revealed. Unlike the Percy Jackson movies, however, the show has favored lesser-known actors for its main cast, particularly when it comes to the central trio.

Though fans have only seen glimpses of Percy Jackson's set, costuming, and casting, there is already significantly more optimism about the television adaptation than there was for the films, particularly due to Riordan's close involvement. Riordan has been very vocal on his personal blog about how well filming has been going, and has praised early footage of the show since it began production in June.
