What happened in the O2 Brixton Academy crush in London?

completely filling what seems to be one of the alleys by the side of the venue.

"The police have locked off Asake and have left a bunch of people in an alley in the freezing cold," said the Twitter user, @__93_Mide.right by the locked doors of the venueIn the footage, people are packed tightly up against the doors and appear to be jostling with each other to create space. The crowd surges slightly one way and then the other as people seem to push back.

It is not clear what time Asake took the stage, but several social media posts said he only made it through a couple of songs before the show was shut down. Using an expletive, Asake announced from the stage that there was trouble outside and they had to end the show.Someone else walks on to offer a more detailed explanation: "We have to stop the show because they have breached the door. You've got 3000 people who have broken the door, and because of security, the police have asked us to stop the show. It's for your security, it has nothing to do with us.

The Met Police said no police dogs were used in the response, but other footage shows the venue's security guards with a number of dogs on leads. The timings and sequence of these events cannot yet be confirmed, but social media footage shows several instances of violence between members of the crowd and police.

Too many black freeloaders trying to force their way in

Animals! 👎🏽💩😡

Load of savages without tickets and looking for a fight …

Let me guess. A load of bellends turned up and tried to get in without tickets?

Dickwashers being dickwashers, as usual.

Police using batons and dogs never help a crowd panic / crush in a confined space ?

Were there fake tickets on sale?

I heard a lot of them did not have tickets but still tried to get in. They are clearly ruining it for actual people who had purchased tickets that were clearly valid. I also heard that the artist performing told people not to turn up unless they had a valid ticket.

Tribal instincts never go away it seems.

Same as wireless festival gangs of feral people who think they can do what they want with no repercussions

I'm just surprised that Darwins theory has taken this long.

Who’s bothered other than the BBC for obvious reasons.

Self entitled brats without a ticket tried to force their way in. Nothing more complicated than that

It was in Brixton.

I bet the 4 Skins get the blame again...

Does the BBC understand the threats of Doxing ?

The crowd behaviour was appalling

same thing that happened at wembly, people turning up with no tickets thinking they can just force there way in. lawless.

I'm sure the BBC will let everyone think it was the police's fault

A new trend of those without tickets for events thinking they deserve entry regardless

Dunno. Why don't you guess?

No idea, you tell me.

Black lives matter....apart from when they don't have a ticket...

The uncivilised strike again.

Why are these people kicking people already on the floor bloody disgusting!!!?

That’s why you never go near Brixton

Allow the third world in and you’ll always get third world behaviour.

It's always someone else's fault.

People got hurt?
