Today’s news. Sorry Dems we know you want the market to crash😉

Fed Chairman Powell and his handlers must be disappointed.

Wait till people open their 401 K statements after 12/31

Both the stock market and the shutdown happened just before Christmas. Really not much time for them to have impact on holiday shopping.

julie_kelly2 I'm sorry IMO the stock market if falling because the DEMS 'won' the house and people have lost confidence that anything good will get done in the future for the next 2 years.

Credit card debt highest since 2008!

That’s bc the only figure people are trading on these days is Jerome Powell’s decisions at the Fed. Not unemployment. Not P/E. Not even technical. He raises rates and every loses their shit. Embarrassing!

Given that most shopped befor the crash and the 3 year old’s temper tantrum.. not sure this comment has any basis.

Suggesting theasses are clueless to what's coming

Or debt loads are rising (more likely)

A shutdown has been in effect since December 21 and the stock market ( which most people don’t have or are in it for the long haul) would have an effect on retail sales for the season. What a false and misleading statement! What a dumb spin to influence less informative folks..

or..., credit card companies raised the spending balances of their customers

Yep. Just like the Drug Epidermic raging in Donald Trump Land. Insanity is when one does the same thing over & over without a beneficial end result. The amount of Credit debt Americans owe is just as bad as the Federal government's debt that has ballooned up.

Oh thank gawd, share holder value doesn't seem negatively impacted by the suffering of others!

People just want a nice Christmas! But will pay credit card bills all year for it!

Small biz, 70% job creator, workers buying, is the real economy

I just don’t get the desire to buy more and more things. I’d much rather experience the world...

And debt? How much of that spending was on the credit card?

Nothing can stop mindless spending
