'A ball of light': Tributes to Hi-de-Hi! actress Ruth Madoc who has died aged 79 🔴 Friends and colleagues remembered a 'wonderfully gifted actress' who provided laughs for generations

Welsh singer and presenter Aled Jones wrote on social media: “So very sad to hear of the passing of dear Ruth Madoc – a lovely person I was lucky to know.” Joe McGann added: “Such sad news about the amazing Ruth Madoc. I was lucky enough to work with her more than once and I loved the bright, skilful, funny, fearless, kind, and inspiring ball of light that she always was.”
