The lawmaker representing Osun East Senatorial District, Senator Francis Fadahunsi, has urged the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency not to take the drug war to the entertainment industry.

“The only area that youths are doing well is in the entertainment industry. That’s why I’m pleading with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency not to go to their side. Nollywood and the entertainment industry generally is the largest recruiter of labour at the moment. If the NDLEA puts fire to the industry, the youth will revolt and it will be too dangerous for our country. Many people will run away because we have millions of youths in the entertainment industry.

He also noted that many children from poor homes could not gainfully secure employment because jobs were often circulated among the elite. “Some of them are even joining cultism and thuggery. I wanted to remove many of the youths from the road but unfortunately, they had no certificates. That is how bad the situation is sometimes,” he added.

He pleaded with banks to give loans to youths who were interested in investing in agriculture as it would also help curb the level and rate of banditry and other forms of crimes. All rights reserved. This man must be into drug trade in the entertainment industry. His focus should be on enlightening youths on the killer effect of narcotics in all branches.

It is unfortunate to have this kind of lawmaker. He surely must also be under the influence of drugs. Otherwise why wouldn’t he address the maladministration and bad governance that has orchestrated this massive unemployment in the country. So disgraceful!

Like seriously,do they have immunity or right to do illicit business, now I see reason for drug test for those that occupied elective position.

I think with this, the NDLEA should fi d its way to the entertainment industry.... Definitely there's something going on there.... crime is not to be permitted by anyone no matter the contribution of the group to the country

Start with the lawmaker first

One senator from Osun state said many youths already mismanaged COVID stimulus package shared cos they thought it's free money And I asked is it the packages that kept away in warehouse or what?

If them stay away from entertainer who them go go after then ?

So they are the sacred cows? Entertainment demands drugs?

Make una dey calm down first 😂😂 read the news in details first before showing your foolish. Ire o

Why

Fadahunsi are you serious? We should let the youth and entertainers engage in drug trafficking and addiction just because of the fear of revolt. ndlea_nigeria please, look into the activities of this lawmaker.

Chai…. This man is supposed to be my senator o, Fada don fall my hand

Pls arrest the law maker, he is a joke & suspect.

Entertainment & dr^g go hand in hand, d man is right... dis is how entertainment is been designed, without alcohol, dr^g & women no entertainment. only thing NDLEA need do is to make sure they don’t abuse it

Can this be true? So entertainers can possess or use dr0g? This is comical.

Ahswear

Meaning they are free to use drugs? ndlea_nigeria pls beam your torchlight on this law maker..
