Former Power Ranger Jason David Frank dies at 49

Justine Hunt, Frank's manager, confirmed Sunday that he died without revealing the cause or time of death. Hunt asked for"privacy of his family and friends during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human being" in a statement.

Frank was an original cast member of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers from its premiere in 1993. Fellow cast member Walter Emanuel Jones, known as the black Power Ranger, mourned the loss in an Instagram post. View this post on Instagram A post shared by WalterEJones "Can't believe it. ... RIP Jason David Frank," Jones captioned the photo."My heart is sad to have lost another member of our special family."

Jones was referring to fellow cast member Thuy Trang, who played the original yellow Power Ranger. She died in a car crash in 2001 at the age of 27.
