Bowring Park will celebrate the holiday season with its 21st annual music and lights festival, beginning Dec. 3. - SaltWire NetworkST. JOHN'S, N.L. — The City of St. John’s will light up Bowring Park for the holidays during the 21st annual Festival of Music and Lights on Dec. 3.The event will feature musical performers, including Ian Foster and Nancy Hynes, Boogie Babes, Allison Walsh and Jake Greening.

Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for the Community Food Sharing Association and a reusable mug for free hot chocolate that will be distributed by the St. John’s Lions Club. A special event playlist featuring festive songs from local musicians will be available for attendees to enjoy, with QR codes posted around the venue with instructions on how to listen.

The event includes a wheelchair-accessible viewing area, and accessible parking is in the parking lot near the pond. The park will be lit throughout the holiday season, and a holiday playlist of festive songs from local musicians will be available while people view the lights. Signs in the park will provide instructions for accessing the playlist using a QR code, a URL address through a web browser or an FM radio station.It has been our privilege to have the trust and support of our East Coast communities for the last 200 years.
