This article covers a developing story. Continue to check back with us as we will be adding more information as it becomes available. The Silk TV show, which has been in development for over a year, is finally going forward as it is getting a home on Amazon, with plans for a big Spider-Man TV universe. One of the superhero projects that have been stuck in development hell for quite some time is Silk, which follows the Spider-heroine Cindy Moon.

The Wrap reports that Amazon is going forward with the show, which will officially be called Silk: Spider Society, which will be the first series to help shape a Spider-Man-based TV universe. The Walking Dead's Angela Kang will officially be the showrunner. Every Spider-Man show will first debut on a linear network, in this case, MGM+. Each series will then also go air on Amazon's Prime Video service.
