This article covers a developing story. Continue to check back with us as we will be adding more information as it becomes available. The Silk TV show, which has been in development for over a year, is finally going forward as it is getting a home on Amazon, with plans for a big Spider-Man TV universe. One of the superhero projects that have been stuck in development hell for quite some time is Silk, which follows the Spider-heroine Cindy Moon.
The Wrap reports that Amazon is going forward with the show, which will officially be called Silk: Spider Society, which will be the first series to help shape a Spider-Man-based TV universe. The Walking Dead's Angela Kang will officially be the showrunner. Every Spider-Man show will first debut on a linear network, in this case, MGM+. Each series will then also go air on Amazon's Prime Video service.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY “I’m beyond thrilled to be joining the Amazon Studios family for this next chapter of my career. I look forward to working with the executive team on diverse, character-forward, watercooler shows for a global audience and am so excited to dive in to my first challenge – bringing Korean-American superhero Silk to life on screen."
