at this time. I see Pixel variants in matches more than other types of cards. Nearly every villain and hero has a pixel art version which is frustrating for some characters who don’t have many cool variants to begin with. All these pixel art variants also means that after only a few hours of playing, you’ll likely have at least a few of these ugly cards in your library. Eventually, you’ll likely have to upgrade them to reach new card collection levels.
There’s not really an easy solution to this problem. You can’t remove the cards because some people like them, not all of them are bad and at this point, people have invested real money into upgrading and unlocking them. Instead, I’d love to see a second series of pixel art or video game variants that is more inspired byFor now, I’ll keep upgrading these things. But I won’t like it.

This is an amazing thing for an art director to screw up. Marvel comics is a near infinite collection of fantastic character artwork stretching back to the dawn of time. And yet they somehow landed here. The worst part is that loving pixel art makes it worse, not better.

Man couldn't agree more. No offense to the artist(s) who had to knock out so many variants, but it seems like this was a very amateur pixel artist they thought they could produce in bulk bc pixel art is 'faster' than traditional art. Cutting corners means these are mostly bad!
I have seen a couple that look ok, like Hulkbuster, but yeah this line of cards mostly feels like punishment, not a reward.
