The data in the study come from the 2019 National Firearms Survey, an online survey of U.S. adults living in households with firearms, including nearly 2,400 handgun owners, according to the university.

I wouldn't possibly question a study done by a University with potential bias in the outcome?. Much like a consultant giving you the outcomes you desire in the final report. They don't use their own research findings but another data base for this.
