Former Labor senator Stephen Conroy says all Victorian polls show the Liberal Party primary values have “not moved or barely moved one to two points”.

“The prospects of the Liberals losing seats to the teals ultimately mean there is zero chance that Mathew Guy will be the Premier of Victoria after the election,” he told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“What is in the real mix right now is whether or not the Andrews government loses the 11 seats that it needs to be forced into minority government.”

As seen in the federal election , you can still win even if most of the country voted for someone else.

But on the other hand, it could well be they don't wish to inherit Andrews' mess. Let Andrews implode when the public feel the weight of his mistakes - probably sometime in 2024. Gutless Libs.

For the last 6 months I've urged Georgie Crozier et al to dump Matt Guy or spend another term in Opposition. It's too late now but predictably they will unseat him after their election loss. They all need to resign for not seeing the bleeding obvious. But on the other hand . .
