Mendoza stressed that while she is grateful to those who supported her from the start of her career, she dislikes “fooling” anyone for the sake of money and fame.
The “Eat Bulaga” host also noted that many fans have accepted that her love team with Richards is nothing personal, while others have stopped supporting her altogether and some others continue to push for her onscreen partnership with Richards to be real. “Meron pa rin po na hanggang ngayon, kumakapit pa rin do’n. So ayon ‘yung hindi ko rin ma-tolerate. I tried calling them out couple of times already pero ayaw po rin nilang maniwala,” she said.
Mendoza then pointed out that she tried messaging fans who believe rumors that she and Richards are married and have kids, but she eventually grew tired of pointing out the truth to them. “Marami na po akong mga tao na ni-direct message sa Twitter to tell them na wala pong katotohanan… Ako na ‘yung nagme-message, pero ang reply pa rin sa’kin, ‘Hindi si Maine ‘yan. Admin ‘yan ng account ni Maine. May asawa na si Maine, may anak na si Maine,'” she told Diaz.“Umabot na lang ako sa point na nakakapagod na mag-explain. I don’t think there’s something I can do para sa mga taong ito,” Mendoza added.
