What did LOTR star Andy Serkis think of RingsOfPower season 1? 👀 '[O]nce you get through understanding the rules of it, and actually how loyal to the trilogy and the feel of the trilogy [it is]... I found it incredibly engaging...'

Andy Serkis, who played Gollum in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, praises Amazon’s own foray into Middle-earth with The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Set during the Second Age, some thousands of years before Frodo and the Fellowship set out for Mount Doom, The Rings of Power season 1 recently concluded with the surprise reveal of Charlie Vickers’ Halbrand as the Dark Lord Sauron.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Long before Amazon embarked on their own interpretation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s beloved fantasy world, New Zealand filmmaker Peter Jackson helmed his own adaptation of the original Lord of the Rings books. Jackson would eventually cast Serkis to provide the motion-capture performance of Sméagol, otherwise known as Gollum, from whom Bilbo Baggins first acquired the One Ring.

Yeah, I absolutely watched it, and it really - once you get through understanding the rules of it, and actually how loyal to the trilogy and the feel of the trilogy music by Howard Shore for the opening sequence, et cetera - I found it incredibly engaging, and I really, really enjoyed watching it.

Rings Of Power Will Only Get Better In Season 2 Touted as one of the most expensive television series to ever be produced, The Rings of Power season 1 had enormous expectations to live up to. Far beyond the hopes inspired by its impressive budget, Prime Video also had to contend with the desires of a passionate and highly vocal fanbase.

Ultimately, however, The Rings of Power still managed to pull in impressive viewership numbers, and many fans are still keen to see what season 2 has in store. With Sauron’s identity finally revealed and the initial groundwork laid by establishing where the show sits in the wider history of Middle-earth, it can begin digging deep into the abundant wealth of Tolkien’s lore. With the initial hurdles now out of the way, Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power can only look to improve in season 2.

Stop trying to make people like Rings Of Power. It was a dogshit show and you know it. They lost half their audience after episode one and viewership only went down after that.

Well, considering it regurgitated quite a few scenes from the trilogy (albeit poorly), this makes sense.

Best show in the universe can't wait for season 2

It felt like the trilogy?! 😆 😂 😆 😂 dude 😁

he’s not wrong

Loyal to the triloahahahahahahahahahahahah

Bro stop lying it's an awful boring show with incredible and amazing visuals
