Have you heard of the movie that’s so disturbingly stomach-churning, so horrifyingly gruesome, it’s allegedly causing some audience members to vomit, faint and even need to get carried out of movie theaters?
“This has taken us all by surprise,” says Devon Canfield, the VP of sales and distribution at Iconic Releasing. “We dropped to 700 screens in [our second weekend], and we continued to increase our gross,” Canfield says. “That doesn’t happen when you lose locations.” What’s more notable about “Terrifier 2” landing at the No. 8 spot over the weekend: It’s only playing in most theaters for one or two showtimes per day. By comparison, “Tár,” another lengthy movie with a runtime that’s close to two hours and 30 minutes, is playing at least four times per day. That film, a likely awards season contender, came in 11th place while playing in 1,087 cinemas over the weekend.
Film aesthetic looks like a low budget soap opera. I'm sure the satanic symbols in the movie were part of the curse that made it such a huge success. Why not sell your soul for money & fame. Worked so well for John Lennon....
Never heard of the movie, kind of like the original movie Halloween.

Tbf having something as outlandish as this movie would bring a lot of attention to it. People have been reported to throwup or pass out. Which automatically gets the public wondering what's so scary or gross about this movie. So now everyone wants to see it.
I'm so sick of those terrible remakes of slashers, finally a good slasher film came by and proved that special effects and a charismatic killer can carry a film. I'm so sick of family friendly, filled with humor and CGI that Marvel and Netflix makes. This was a wanted change
If you saw the first 1. You saw it coming. Art the Clown is the new Freddy. You shouldn't like him but you do. He's funny.

Plenty of people 'saw it coming', since Art the Clown is the brightest new horror icon. I mean... the '2' in Terrifier 2, should have been a clue.

Real ones saw it coming and were anticipating it. Hollywood didn't notice it because it wasn't titled, Marvel: Terrifier 2.

This is something that only works with horror movies. All other types of movies would cost way more to produce
Those that contributed to funding T2 knew full well. Hollywood corporate knew nothing because they usually don’t - they are too busy with comic book adaptions.

Look... horror enthusiast will probably not like it, but Feige should be giving that whole team money. The Terrifier movies are amazing looking, and shot better than damn near everything else. Those dudes should go places.
