SM Entertainment has cancelled its annual Halloween party in the wake of last night’s tragedy in Itaewon.the red carpet for its “SMTOWN WONDERLAND” bash online for the first time this year, but in the wee hours of the morning on October 30, it announced that not only the livestream but the entire party itself had been cancelled.
Because the “SMTOWN WONDERLAND 2022” event itself has been cancelled, there will be no livestream of the red carpet either. We ask for fans’ understanding.On the night of October 29, at least 146 people died and another 150 were injured after being crushed in a large crowd during Halloween celebrations in the Itaewon neighborhood of Seoul.

I was very excited for this party and to see the costumes they would have this year, but when I found out about the tragedy I won't lie that I felt discouraged all day, so a good decision on SM's part, out of respect for the victims, their families and friends.
