The '00s was a great time for fashion, music and pretty much everything else - but most of all, Halloween was something else back then.
Just before the dawn of smartphones and cameras in our pockets at all times, we felt free to look absolutely ridiculous without the fear of our Instagram followers getting wind of it within minutes. While our flip phones were always to hand, we weren't snapping away every two seconds - unless one of your pals brought their digital camera you were safe.
Furthermore, we only heard the iconic Mean Girls quote in 2004. Any child of the '00s will recall Cady's words as she enters the Halloween party: "In the real world, Halloween is when kids dress up in costumes and beg for candy. In Girl World, Halloween is the one day a year when a girl can dress up like a total s**t and no other girls can say anything else about it.
