Besides making his own music and scoring projects such as Bruce Willis’s films American Siege and Gasoline Alley , as well as the actor’s upcoming final film, Kuri has also produced albums for contemporary indie artists Jenny Banai, Syd Warwick and Joel Brandt.

Growing up, I didn’t have tons of people to play with, but I did have my recording software. So if I needed a bass part, then I just learned it and did it. In high school, I got involved in bands and was really influenced by early Wintersleep and other Canadian indie rock. Eventually, this led to developing my own interests in things like odd time signatures and music that felt like something bigger was going on.
