Not necessarily a bad thing as it allowed the showrunner to do his own thing. I don’t think Moore was involved with the Doomsday Clock comic run either. Moore is 68, he said he’s done with comics. I think he’s earned the right to be a cranky old curmudgeon.
I know how everyone loves this show, but the comics are all about how both sides of the story are right and wrong at the same time. While the TV Show has an almost perfect heroine fighting against Nazis. It didn't understand the idea of the original source IMO

Watchmen is great and really underrated show. It was a unique style of storytelling. Also actors, visual and soundtrack were amazing and much better than all another comic book series
