Mr Govenor. Please consider the terrible situation this then sixteen year old girl was in. She was in the hands of a man who had payed money for her body, surely she had the right to defend her self. She has been punished enogh. Release her.
If she killed, she ought to remain behind bars.

This is good news. She does not deserve to be in jail. Women have a right to defend themselves when being sexually assaulted.
Of course we do not know all the circumstances, but it appears the judge and the jury did not know all the circumstances. Justice is a fundamental Foundation of democracy.
