The pandemic tried to sideline it, and then a nasty hurricane thought it could shelve it.

Overseen by executive director Michael Howell, an actor-turned professional chef, and managing director Lia Rinaldo, the seven day festival will play host to a huge variety of films, and will span 53 events, drawing high-profile culinary talent as well as celebrated filmmakers from the around the world, not to mention the hospitality of one of Canada’s friendliest towns, nestled in the province’s Annapolis Valley.

Howell went on to explain that “many of our volunteers and our festival patrons had direct damage and in some cases no power for over two weeks. Despite that, they are dedicated to ensuring that the festival moves forward with their unconditional support.”
