John Carpenter really wants to do a DeadSpace movie: 'It's a really scary project, and I'd love to take it on.'

Halloween Ends producer John Carpenter reveals which video game he would like to adapt into a movie. Carpenter reinvented the horror genre with his 1978 proto-slasher Halloween. Over 40 years later, the Halloween franchise continues to slash away, with Halloween Ends set to arrive later in October.

Sure [I’m still interested], but I don't have anything to do with it, because it's not my project. I believe there's already a producer who wants to do it, and a director, so no one's asked me. But if they did, I would say yes, immediately. It's a really scary project, and I'd love to take it on."

In the 80s, I would’ve been all for it. Unfortunately, I’m a little skeptical now. The man hasn’t made a good movie in over 30 yrs. And don’t get me wrong. I’m a massive fan of John Carpenter. If he gets the gig, I hope it’s the mark of a comeback
