Taylor Swift dove into how her relationship with longtime beau Joe Alwyn inspired the track “Lavender Haze.”on Friday that she first heard the term while watching “Mad Men.”
“It turns out that it was a common phrase that was used in the ’50s, where they would just describe being in love,” Swift explained, adding that a “Lavender Haze” meant you were in “that all-encompassing love glow” and she found it to be “really beautiful.” “I guess, theoretically, when you’re in the ‘Lavender Haze,’ you’ll do anything to stay there and not let people bring you down off of that cloud,” the “Wildest Dreams” singer also noted, prefacing why the phrase reminded her of Alwyn, 31.Mike Marsland/WireImage
