When you think of the classic monster movies of the 1930s and 1940s that inspired Werewolf by Night, the first ever Marvel Studios Special Presentation, you might name Boris Karloff's Frankenstein or The Mummy. Bela Lugosi's Dracula. And, of course, Claude Rains in The Wolf Man.
Unlike recent Marvel Studios series like Moon Knight and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Marvel's Werewolf by Night is contained to a 53-minute one-off . Directed by frequent Marvel composer Michael Giacchino in his feature directorial debut, Werewolf by Night introduces such supernatural characters as the monstrous Man-Thing, the undead Ulysses Bloodstone, and his monster-hunter daughter, Elsa Bloodstone .

“…And, of course, Claude Rains in The Wolf Man.” Curious choice to name check Claude in Lon Chaney, Jr.’s signature role. Great piece though.

Enjoyed it
It worked great as a short special.
The article mentions the “Big 4” universal monster films and their monster actors except Lon Chaney Jr. That’s pretty glaring.
Who cares
Amazing WerewolfByNight 🐺
Isn’t it more of a streaming special than a TV special?
Because it's going to be complete and utter ass.
This show is so good
sO gOOd. gAvE mE A gIAnt sIZE mAn thIng.

Whenever it comes out. 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Well it's still a movie, just not a theatrical one but...
Just saw it it’s a nice different interesting project they did I do feel like this is like those old classic universal monster movies so definitely has that energy but it’s a slow start up but does pick up some momentum when it needs to the werewolf design I thought was perfect
Would the TV be black & white. WerewolfByNight
