Blackpool singer's cancer found after undergoing routine dental check

A Blackpool-based Meatloaf tribute act has vowed to return to performing following a devastating cancer diagnosis.

Peter has been an entertainer since 1989. He told LancsLive how he had been gigging in Spain, when an audience member suggested he should think about emulating the legendary rock singer Meat Loaf. Peter said he was devastated by his shock diagnosis, and that hearing that his performing days might be over was "hard to take", but he had to think about his future. He said: "Obviously I was devastated and it was hard to take. However, my attitude was that I want to see my grandkids grow up so singing wasn't important in the greater scheme of things.
