Christina says music execs came up with some pretty bad names as alternatives, but she did not back down. She says naming her album 'Aguilera' is a full circle moment.
“I was like, 'No, I’m Aguilera. I’m proud of where I come from, my father being from Ecuador. Why not come full circle in all of the chapters and close it on a name, my name?" 'Aguilera' is a trilogy album with three chapters. Christina released the first part of the album - La Fuerza - as an EP in January. Chapter two, 'La Tormenta', dropped in May.
The third and final chapter - 'La Luz' - is due for release soon. Christina teased a new song from the upcoming EP on her Instagram page this week. The song is called 'No Es Que Te Extrañe'. She says it is one of her most personal songs.
