Critic’s Notebook: Doomed to Fail, Trevor Noah Thrived on ‘The Daily Show’

At the same time, everybody had to know that anybody taking over for Jon Stewart was doomed to fail.

I watched the Daily Show…. Daily…. When Jon Stewart was hosting… I watch clips of Trevor that go viral. I guess that’s considered not losing

If he actually focused on being funny and not spout his Trump Derangement Syndrome nonsense, he would have kept the ratings stable.

I got a 7-yr-old who's a little comedian. Had to teach her that using the same punchline 100 times ruins the joke. Basic stuff, Comedy 101. It's a shame that Noah and his writers never learned that. Trump isn't comedy after the millionth attempt to make it so. What a waste.

Was most disappointed in TheDailyShow when Trevornoah called a self proclaimed “Sadguru” on his show.

Thank heaven. Now if we could just get the show cancelled forever!
