However, the folks over at American streaming service Tubi fast-tracked a film into production titledA plot synospis for the project says it will focus on the"tumultuous relationship of Depp and Heard" and the defamation trial which took place in Virginia between April and June and ultimately saw Depp win.
The actor sued Heard for defamation over a 2018 op-ed in The Washington Post, where she wrote about being a survivor of domestic violence.While his name isn’t mentioned in the piece, Depp’s lawyers argued it falsely implies she was sexually and physically abused by him in their marriage.The trial concluded in June with the jury siding with Depp, who was awarded $10 million in compensatory damages and $350,000 in punitive damages.
However, that is just going by the trailer. The full film will be released in the US on Tubi on 30 September.
