Luke Thomas was only asked to take part in Ultimate Hell Week: The Professionals two days before filming started.
He told RSVP Live: “I didn’t get the call initially and two days before they were due to film I got a call from RTE saying someone had pulled out... “I’m not giving any excuses whatsoever but to even bring up my fitness to a level where I could sustain myself - it was shell shocking. But I’m delighted I did it because nothing else can compare to it, it’s totally immersive.”
“There are about 70-80 cameras all over the place. Our microphones were always on too. It’s constant.” “It has to be immersive and real because if it’s not, it just wouldn’t work.
