This is one of the most important stories you'll see all year.

This brand new scripted series from Mo Amer is a stunning depiction of America and the multicultural communities that make it so great, while simultaneously being an epic representation of Palestinian culture. It's everything that good television should be: Inclusive, rich and authentic.

This semi-biographical series follows the fictional Mo Najjer after he loses his job and struggles to find his family asylum, which is a story similar to Amer's own experiences as a Palestinian refugee. But the show takes a few wilder turns than Amer's own life. In it, Mo gets addicted to lean after getting shot at a grocery store and not being able to go to a hospital because of his legal status.

Every journey the characters take through this series are punctuated by a sense of community, and heritage.
