'It pissed me off': Actor who played Luke on 'Gilmore Girls' speaks out on the episode that made him feel objectified

"Gilmore Girls" actor Scott Patterson says a Season 3 scene left him feeling"uncomfortable" and"pissed off" because he felt he was being objectified.

Patterson, who played Luke Danes, talked about one episode in particular in which two characters talk about his butt. "I didn't feel comfortable doing it, and it pissed me off," he said on the latest episode of"I Am All In," his podcast where he discusses the hit show. The scene in question was from the"Gilmore Girls" episode"Keg! Max!" from April 2003. Patterson said the script called for Lorelai Gilmore and her co-worker Sookie St.

lol. What rock were you under? Almost every movie or show has some objectification. That's why you're hired in the first place.

What about? He was not paid for that job?

Lies nje

glad I don't watch show, guess writers ran out of ideas

Jesus is coming back soon as a judge, repent of your sins, believe in Jesus Christ and be baptised. Matthew 3:2 [2]'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.'

If you skip to 36 seconds in, this is what he’s going on about 20 years later 🙄. Give me a break.

Oh cmon. Of course objectifying men is as bad as objectifying women, but it's not that 'Gilmore Girls' was a very sexualized TV series. It was one of the most innocent series ever. He speaks about 1 scene in 1 episode out of 7 seasons and it wasn't like that they jumped him.

Yawn

Why didn’t he - as a white male (a natural position of power) say something at the time? I find his hurt feelings disingenuous & a bit more like a publicity grab for his podcast. 😒🙄

Well just imagine what many young actresses feel going through and being preyed on in the Hollywood machine. There are many young male actors that have gone through it too. Sexual harrassment/abuse is not okay for any gender. EnoughIsEnough mentoo

Awww, poor baby felt objectified.

But you smiled and cashed the check $$$ 🤡

that show ended in 2007. he just now says something?

As if those black gloves and pedo stare don’t give a “talk about my butt, girls!!”vibe. Good thing you were paid millions and you’ve never actually been sexually objectified in your absurdly over-paid careerTo think that you were actually liked by your peers and fans at one point

Seems like he's taking it a bit too far

How pathetic… even more so, how pathetic that we can’t even look to CNN for the news anymore.

He must be in a desperate need of new job offers…

A more intelligent take would have been 'wow, this is what women and girls put up with every fkn day, now I get it'

Why is this even a story!?

Can’t wait to read the comments on this one! femalegaze

It might be as bad for women to objectify men, but at least it happens about 20 million times less often.

Well good he realises what crap women have to endure every day
