Michael Collins is coming back to the big screen, thanks to an interesting ally.Neil Jordan's acclaimed biopic of the Irish revolutionary will live again at Omniplex cinemas throughout the country following a team-up between the cinema chain and the Fine Gael party.The event will mark the 100th anniversary of Collins' death. Collins was assassinated during an ambush in his native Cork on 22 August, 1922.
on Tuesday, 6 September at 7pm. "It’s 26 years since the release of Michael Collins the movie, so for some people this will be the first time they will have a chance to see it on the big screen," noted a statement issued by Fine Gael on Friday.
