Irish UFC champion Conor McGregor is set to make his acting debut, with the athlete adding a stint in Hollywood to his extensive C.V.
The original 1989 flick starred Patrick Swayze in the hit action story, and McGregor is set to join decorated actor Jake Gyllenhaal for the film.Sources told The Independent that McGregor will be playing an individual character, rather than himself, in the film. The cast also includes Billy Magnussen, Daniela Melchior, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Lukas Gage, Hannah Love Lanier, Travis Van Winkle, B.K. Cannon, Arturo Castro, Dominique Columbus, Beau Knapp and Bob Menery.
These bars are also called roadhouses, as they welcome patrons who are travelling along the American highways such as vagabonds and bikers, hence the name of the film.
