“To be part of the Harry Potter family, it was very special,” he said, adding that he gave the movie's young stars kickboxing lessons during the shoot. “I wasn’t the average actor on the set. I fell out of the kickboxing ring straight in front of the biggest cameras in the world.” Playing roles in those franchises naturally leads to invites to comic cons around the world. Wilding said he always enjoys taking part in them.
After his run in the San Antonio comic con, Hurley is sticking around for a few days. He will perform his one-man show “A Man With Standards,” at 7:30 p.m. Sunday and Aug. 9 at JazzTx at the Pearl.
