SEATTLE — For the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began, the Blue Angels are back in Seattle.
The Blue Angels, which are a part of the U.S. Navy, will be practicing on Thursday before the Boeing Seafair Air Show officially kicks off on Friday at 11:15 a.m. KIRO 7′s Kevin Ko spoke with Jen McClellan, a teacher at Mercer Island High School who will be flying with the Blue Angels on Wednesday.The rest of us can catch the Blue Angels on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 3:05 p.m.
The Golden Knights, a parachute team that’s part of the U.S. Army, will also be performing at about 11 a.m. on all three days. In past years, the I-90 bridge closed to traffic during the Blue Angels shows, causing slowdowns on other highways.It’ll stay that way this year.
