Will Smith has broken his silence over his controversial slap at this year's Oscars in a lengthy Instagram video.
On the night, Chris told Jada that he was looking forward to GI Jane 2, but as the actress suffers from alopecia, she was not impressed by the joke. This prompted Will to get up on stage and slap Chris across the face - just moments before he took home the top gong for Best Actor in King Richard. Explaining why he didn't apologise to Chris during his acceptance speech, Will said in the video: "I was fogged out by that point. It is all fuzzy. I’ve reached out to Chris and the message that came back is that, he’s not ready to talk. When he is, he will reach out. I will say to you, Chris, I apologize to you. My behaviour was unacceptable and I am here whenever you are ready to talk."He went on: "I want to apologize to Chris’s mother.
