Were these people really “indigenous” to the area? Never heard of “Afro-blank” being indigenous to South America.
Music is the essence of a culture.
There should be world museums of art ,crafts, clothings , ornaments ,musical instruments, hats utensils, of all indigenous people of every country,with murals of dances,musical performance, their food habits,medical uses of herbs , hunting ,their religious practises etc.
Any small effort can rise and people get involved. I for sure know 1 can be eleven and that can be 1111 in no time. What we should do is to support their efforts and the resilience.
Greetings to the Garifuna people. They are a minority of people of African descendants that need to be protected.
