The Filipino-American and Grammy-winning singer has been cast in ABC's "Beauty and the Beast" special as the well-loved small-town princess.

"I can't believe I get to be a part of the Beauty and the Beast legacy," H.E.R. said in a statement published by"I have always wanted to be a Disney princess," she added.Chu said they were influenced by Disney's animated movie that was released in 1991.
