Here's everything coming to Netflix in August 2022 -- and what's leaving

“Stranger Things” kicked off the summer with a bang, and Netflix is looking to end the season with another blockbuster fan-favorite.

“The Sandman” , based on Neil Gaiman’s iconic comic series, stars Tom Sturridge as Dream, aka Morpheus, aka The Sandman, a cosmic being who controls all dreams who must travel time and space to restore his kingdom and undo the damage done after he’s taken prisoner and put out of commission for more than a century. Kirby Howell-Baptiste stars as his sister, the Grim Reaper, with Gwendoline Christie, Jenna Coleman and Taron Egerton filling out the star-studded cast.

On the original movie front, there’s “Day Shift” , starring Jamie Foxx, Dave Franco and Snoop Dogg as blue-collar vampire hunters; the animated “Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie” ; and the documentary “Running With the Devil: The Wild World of John McAfee” , about the rise and fall of the mercurial software titan.Netflix NFLX, +7.
