Laura Whitmore has quit her BBC radio show amid her Love Island success. LoveIsland

The 37-year-old Bray native started presenting her radio show four years ago, but it seems that she would like to explore other opportunities.

Confirming her departure from Auntie Beeb, Heidi Dawson - controller of BBC Radio 5 Live - told MailOnline: "Laura has made the difficult ¬decision to leave after a brilliant four years." Earlier this week, the mum-of-one and her husband Iain Stirling celebrated some “very exciting news”. “Sometimes life moves so fast you forget to be still and just enjoy the moment. Going to be a busy year so it’s important to take a breath. Also massive red moon last night was pretty spectacular!”
