Social media users are being warned not to click on links claiming to show a live stream of Lytham festival after a woman said she has been scammed as a result.
A woman has taken to social media to warn others against clicking on the link after she claimed she had money taken out of her account after attempting to view the live stream. The link, appearing in the comment section of Lytham Festival's Facebook page, claims to allow social media users to live stream the show in HD.The woman shared her experience after she had money taken from her bank account.
This latest scam comes just a week after a woman was left £70 out of pocket after purchasing tickets to Lytham Festival from a re-seller on Facebook, only to be blocked moments later. Rachel Robinson purchased two tickets for herself and her mother to see Diana Ross at the annual seaside festival in Lytham St. Anne's. After purchasing on Monday morning and hoping to see the American entertainer the following day, she later took to Facebook to inform a local group that she had in fact been "scammed".
