INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, Michigan — Guitarist Carlos Santana reportedly collapsed Tuesday night while performing, according to multiple reports.Santana, 74, was performing the song “Joy” when he suddenly stopped. Fox Detroit reports medical personnel rushed onto the stage and the crowd was asked to pray for him because of a “serious” medical issue.
However, some fans who attended to the show say Santana appeared to recover quickly and waved as he was helped off the stage,. Santana did not return to the stage and the show ended. There are no reports on his current condition. Santana, 74, had heart surgery in December, which resulted in the cancellation of several shows. He currently is touring with Earth, Wind & Fire.
