Margot Robbie's Barbie Movie Adds Industry Star Marisa Abela

Actress Marisa Abela has boarded the cast of the live-action Barbie movie. Based on Mattel's beloved fashion doll line, the WB film is being helmed by Oscar-nominated director Greta Gerwig. Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling star as Barbie and Ken, respectively. Set for release in July 2023, Barbie is currently in production. While there are a myriad of reasons to look forward to Barbie, its stellar ensemble is likely the most prominent one.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY As confirmed by Deadline, Abela is the latest to join Barbie. As with all the other performers, details of her role are not being disclosed at this point. Abela is best known for her role on HBO's Industry; she will next be seen in this summer's season 2. Barbie marks her biggest project yet.With so few details being revealed about the plot, it's hard to determine what character Abela might be playing in Barbie.
