Disgraced singer R Kelly was living in an up-market rental that cost more than $16,000 a month before he was put in jail.

The seven-bedroom house has a fitness room, spa with a pool, treehouse and tennis court. There is also a playhouse and outdoor kitchen. The Atlanta Journal Constitution cited documents showing he owed more than $31,000 in overdue rent for the home and a nearby guesthouse.

Spare a thought for the laundry staff.
