The eatery will be at 14730 Detroit Ave. The space - formerly Campbell’s Popcorn – is at the northeast corner of Warren and Detroit roads. Target opening date is late this year, the company said in a press release.

Ten to 12 pies will be offered, from classics to those with toppings including kale, dates and preserved lemon. Salads, snackable items and a signature dessert also are in the works. The eatery will feature a 44-seat space with counter service and self-serve beverage coolers. A variety of local and regional craft beers, wines and non-alcoholic options will be available as singles and six-packs. Delivery and dine-in service will be offered.

Boom’s Pizza - named after Bebenroth’s grandfather “Boom” – cut its teeth by offering weekly pop -ups at Spice Hospitality Group’s headquarters in Cleveland’s Detroit Shoreway neighborhood. Bebenroth previously owned the acclaimed Spice Kitchen in Detroit’s Gordon Square neighborhood. It closed in March 2020 at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.
