Actors Andy Buckley, Mallory Mullins and Belmont Cameli, a Naperville native, filmed a good portion of “Most Guys are Losers” inside Frankie’s Blue Room in downtown Naperville. The dramedy opens in movie theaters July 1.
Now, nearly six years later, “Most Guys Are Losers” is being released in movie theaters July 1, with a cast that includes Mira and Paul Sorvino, Andy Buckley, Keith David and Naperville native Belmont Cameli. “I think Naperville is the greatest place on Earth,” he said. “I lived everywhere and I filmed everywhere in the world, and there’s no finer people in the world than Naperville. I believe that so strongly, that I knew my first film needed to be filmed in Naperville.”
When he got his first job on a movie — as a production assistant in 2002′s dark comedy “Secretary,” starring Maggie Gyllenhaal — he knew making movies was what he wanted to do.“The first day I fell in love with it,” he said. “The first minute, the chaos of the set and all these different cultures from all over the world. The long hours. Meeting movie stars. Back then that was cool to me.”
